Running Question Challenge - Besides running, what is your next favorite sport/activity?

Besides running, what is your next favorite sport/activity?

Does sitting at home count as an activity? Being so busy and feeling frayed lately, if I wasn't running my favorite activity would be sitting home and reading.

Back to the question....

Biking would be my next favorite activity. Riding along the canals where it is  flat and borderline boring is what I do when I still want to get out and burn calories and have an off day from running.  Biking it also my activity when injured and I can't run.  Since moving in March, I haven't taken my bike out. I was going to one day but the tire was flat, the pump was hidden and it started to rain.

Backpacking is something I enjoy as well but it is a lot of hard work and I always forget how hard it is.  If I could classify car camping as an activity then that by far is my favorite.  Food tastes better, Oreo cookies can be eaten starting at 10am guilt free (well maybe a little guilt) and I sleep fantastic while camping in a tent. I guess its all the fresh air and oxygen.  Car camping can also incorporate hikes in and walking to the bathroom counts as activity too!

I love to scrapbook, but that's not a sport haha. Favorite sport would be playing hockey

Hiking/backpacking. Anything that gets me out in nature. OK, even sitting in a nice campground will do though it is not much of a sport, is it?

Great question! Hiking/backpacking/camping. I'll do a post on this one later this week.

Oh yes, this whole other side of the planet thing is quite strange, but very interesting and exciting as well.

Now let me see if I understand this correctly . . . you are suggesting that there are other activities outside of running? I'm pretty sure you are mistaken. I think there isn't anything other than running - LOL!

Horseback Riding or Biking depends on the day.

Biking and weightlifting, unfortunately they have both taken a back seat to running for the moment. My 6yr old and I plan to do lots of evening bike rides this summer.

SOCCER! I love it. Don't get to play it as much as I would like too though.

I saw the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay on your list of future races. I'll be there too. You'll have to let me know your team's name so I can look for you!

Christina I certainly agree with your lazybones running! On the free days I can't motivate myself to endure the rain in my face, I'm at my potting wheel, listening to audiobooks - like Diana Gabaldon ;-)

I love dancing! It's not technically a sport, but I love getting lost in the music. As for outdoors . . . anything on the water makes my heart smile.

Funny enough it is gyming, I took part in a Biggest Loser competition and got hooked on Jillian Michael's style of fitness training. Running and this workout of Jillian's has now become a way of life for me.
