Living in Arizona we area often subjected to dust storms and monsoons in the summer. Tonight I ran over to the track at a local high school which is only a mile away and ran 4x800's. On the way over there was wind, some lightening and I could tell a storm was blowing in. Tonight's storm was precluded by a dust storm. A dust storm makes the air look like there was fog and I was able to task the grit in my teeth. The funny thing about running in wind on a track is there is always a stretch where when you make the turn and you're running straight into the wind and about come to a stop. Tonight was no different.
Overall the workout went well. Times were slow but that's to be expected when running straight into the wind.
