Ramblings

I'm taking an online creative writing class starting next week.  How I am going to fit running, blogging and work along with a class is beyond me.  Oh, I need to pack and get my tax stuff ready also.  Back when I signed up for the class I thought I would be in the new house and wouldn't be overloading myself.  HA!  I went online and read the syllabus, introduction and first assignment and they are riddled with incorrect spellings and mis-use of words. The instructor used "plane" instead of "plain" and "write" instead of "right".  I certainly hope he did that on purpose. The book listed in the syllabus supposedly isn't even in the book store (I bought mine through Amazon) and now wonder if I need the handbook the other students are talking about instead.   Plus the syllabus spelled the authors name incorrectly and talks about the fall 2009 class, which was an in-person class.  Perhaps my expectations are too high but there are a lot of things that have already bothered me and class hasn't even started yet.

I have officially begun my taper now.  I'm excited my run yesterday went well although my legs are pretty sore.  At the start of the run my lower left leg was very achy and its even more achy this morning.  I will increase my strength exercises as I decrease my miles. I wonder if I will quit being so hungry when my miles decrease.  I like to eat when I get stressed so I don't know if I'm actually "hungry" or stressed. I've also heard that you could be dehydrated and feel hungry.  I have been waking up feeling like I'm hung over and figure I need to hydrate more.

I'll pull out my new shoes tomorrow, unless of course its raining, and go for an 8 miler.  My friend who was supposed to visit (which is why I had to do my long run yesterday), had to cancel.  I'm bummed. I will still go scrapbooking though but she will be missed. But I am soooo happy to have the long run done and learned that my new house is 10 miles from work so I could run home once in awhile.

Ok. I'm going to go read about memoirs and figure out what my first homework assignment will be.

Happy Running!

Oh I hope those mistakes were on purpose. I hate when I see that, especially from a school!

Love the idea of running home from work. I could do that. Why don't I? I would be extremely bothered by those mistakes. Last year I was on an interviewing comm. for a school principal and we got a resume with many many errors. Can you imagine??????

Ugh...I dislike mistakes especially in something from a school :( When I'm dehydrated I eat a lot too, I think your body confuses thrist for hunger.

Spelling, grammatical and syntax errors are my pet peeve. I too echo what everyone else has said, and hope that they were made on purpose! Sounds like it could be fun though.... I was also told when you feel hungry, drink first, then if you still feel hungry 10 minutes later, eat.

A writing class and mistakes that obvious??? Hopefully on purpose! I thought about running home from work but 2 scary dogs that love to chase my car! I think they might do more than just chase me! Enjoy your taper!

You certainly keep busy. That sounds like a full plate for sure. I hope the class turns out better than the syllabus did.
