Kara Goucher's New Book

While Kara Goucher was pregnant and taking it easy but still probably running 50 miles a week,  she wrote a book Kara Goucher's Running for Women: From First Steps to Marathons.  This book is being released on Tuesday, April 5th. The Amazon product description is

GET FIT, GET FAST, AND GO FARTHER WITH OLYMPIC RUNNER KARA GOUCHER’S COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO RUNNING FOR WOMEN
KARA GOUCHER is crazy, madly, head-over-heels in love with running, and she wants to help you feel that love, too. Whether you’re just getting started or already a seasoned runner, this is the book that will take you to the next level. Kara Goucher’s Running for Women contains her expertise, tips, and tricks targeted specifically at female runners to help you become a better, happier, healthier, and more fulfilled runner. She’ll teach you how to:
• GET STARTED WITH THE RIGHT GEAR
• BUILD A SUCCESSFUL SUPPORT TEAM
• FIND THE RIGHT TRAINING PROGRAM FOR YOU
• OVERCOME PSYCHOLOGICAL SETBACKS
• BALANCE RUNNING WITH FAMILY AND WORK
• AND MUCH MORE
Designed to fit your busy lifestyle, Kara Goucher’s Running for Women is packed with quick tips, pearls of running wisdom, and sample training schedules and nutrition plans, as well as sections dedicated to running during and after pregnancy, managing the special challenges of the female athlete’s body, and maintaining a balance between sporting and family life.Kara Goucher’s Running for Women is the ultimate guide for women who want to train for the gold or simply discover their personal best.

It looks like it is a great beginners book but the psychological setback may prove to be interesting. I'll most likely buy it for $10.95 (although I would swear yesterday the price showed $9 something.)

Now we all know that besides talking about poop, Adam LOVES Kara Goucher and has googly eyes for her and turns into a whimpering, drooling  puppy dog about to get a doggy treat  when he even hears the name "Kara".  So the big question is will Adam buy Kara's book on women's running?  What do you think?  Vote below.

Note: me and the blogger poll have NOT had fun.  I would get it all set up and vote and then all the voting buttons would go away. Darn. I found Vizu and and so far so good.  Results of the poll are displayed after voting.

I really need to read a beginner book, considering that I've never run a marathon!

Have a nice week end Christina!
