I ran 4 miles today with John. The pace was quick and I felt good. Today is the best the ankle felt and I didn't need the quarter of a mile to warm it up. I did experience some twinges around mile 3 but it faded. John sprinted at the end and I let him go ahead. My stamina and endurance needs to be built up again but today's run was very promising.
I worked on my running schedule today with the assumption that I could still run the Tucson marathon. However after realizing there are 7 weeks left and one weekend I'm in the Grand Canyon, I need to run Tucson as a half and run the PF Changs marathon. I'm sure I could run Tucson but I would lack confidence and endurance to actually qualify. I checked the pricing for PF and it is $115 through November 15th and then it goes up another $10. Chances are I'll change my mind numerous times before November 15th when I need to decide if I want to pay the lower amount for the PF marathon.

I'm glad your ankle is feeing better and that you had a great run!!! I ran a 30k yesterday at an average of 8:33 and my quads are still hurting.
I'm glad to hear that your ankle is feeling better.
Ankles are such a pain, seem to take forever to heal.
WOW that is one hefty price...I still cannot get over the sticker shock of Marathon prices.
The Grand Canyon? Fun! Now they have that place where you walk out and stand in the air above the canyon that might be fun, but scary!
PG chang is expensive! Sounds like you're back to running! Thanks for the Buckeyes updates.
Backpacking in the Grand Canyon sounds like so much fun! I hope you post about it!
Right now, I'm using the Rookie Boston Marathon Training Plan to get an idea of how to write up my marathon plan (linked in my sidebar). How about you?
Glad we'll be training "together" for our January marathons!
