What Food Rules do you Live By?
On a day to day basis I avoid fast food (although McDonald's has great fries), avoid processed, frozen meals (lots of sodium), and try and eat fresh fruit and veggies and eat whole grain breads. This doesn't mean that I won't eat cookies, candy and cakes and when its a homemade item I find it really hard to turn down.
I'm focusing on a half marathon in November and to help me reach my goals for the race I have vowed
- To avoid cookies, candies and cakes except for special occasions (like my nieces birthday this Friday night)
- To avoid fried foods (this is probably a good one to avoid even when not focused on a race)
- Eat something every 2-3 hours with balanced snacks. (like fruit and a couple Triscuits).
