Like a terquita (little stubborn one) I went for a run when I got home after work. I should have waited until the sun went down but I knew I had a lot to do tonight. With the sun still high and the temps around 104, I headed out and ended up walking a lot of the way home. Only 5 other people were as crazy and were out on the canal, most of them bike rides. I also managed to get two blisters but I never felt them during my run/walk. Trust me, being stubborn isn't beneficial. Once home I jumped in the pool to cool off.
Although I finally finished packing for Ragnar, I realized that I'll still have to repack once I get to Utah. I leave Thursday morning at 6am, which requires me to leave the house at 4:15am. Ouch. Time to get to bed. I am really excited about this Ragnar. After the Del Sol Ragnar I didn't know if I would ever want to do another one but I had already committed to Wasatch Ragnar. This time I get to travel and see my friend Somer, I get to see beautiful scenery and I'm not a van captain trying to find a last minute replacement or recovering from a marathon. It will be a perfect race, with zero sleep, lots of smelly, sweaty runners and lots of fun and laughs.

I always die when running in the heat. I think my body was just made for colder weather. Enjoy your trip and the Ragnar. Sounds like you’ll be having a wonderful time.

Relays are fun; you'll have a blast! That heat is amazing and it is just going to get hotter - I think I would just die trying to run in that heat.
You cannot leave the battlefield to the enemy, so it's good that you patrol the streets also under the heat! Enjoy Ragnar.
