Running Question Challenge - What motivates you to run from day to day?

What motivates you to run from day to day?
My competitive streak, the desire to be faster gets me out the door.  I want to be better and know that I have to get out the door and run in order to achieve that.  The other motivator is weight management.  Running allows me to eat without too much (additional) worry about what I'm eating.

The joy of running keeps me sane!

Great question! I'll have to do a post about this. I share your motivations as well...there are so many...

Lately, posting blogs and reading other people's blogs have been helping to motivate me. You guys just seem so happy and satisfied talking about your running / life experiences. I have many goals for myself with running, but I really want that happiness and satisfaction that you all have. I'll keep working at it. Thanks!

Some similarity to you......hoping to improve and maintain times. Redeem myself after poor races. Help with weight and stress relief.

One of my motivators is to set a PR in my next race in a particular distance. Sometimes I have to go with a PR for the year, or since I've been working with a running coach.

Sometimes, the opportunity to have time to myself, or with the running group, motivates me out the door, too.
