If your boss was running a race with you and you were equally matched would you let him/her win?
The question should be do I kiss my boss's butt or kiss my job away? First of all, my boss isn't a runner so you'd never catch him at a race anyways. But I can't let myself off that easy and answer the question that way.
I guess it would depend on the attitude of the boss. If he/she was an ego maniac who would possibly fire me then I would probably let him/her win. After all, he pays my salary, gives me raises and bonuses. If the boss was competitive but wanted a fair race and would know if I was slacking, then maybe I'd beat him to the finish. However, I know how I am at races that I can push only so much and then I just give in and let the person pass me. So to finally answer the question, if equally matched, I would let him/her win (and then replay the race in my head where I win. )

What if your boss is a she?
If the race is chip timed I start well behind him/her and then finish on his/her heels. That way he/she crosses the finish line first, but I have a faster chip time. Assuming our abilities are cmomprable, that is.
Mmm...my boss is an ex-iron man and very sporty. I'll run him to pieces if I can. I'd love to tell everyone from work I beat the boss! Having said that, our relationship will allow me to do this in good spirit.
I raced a two person relay with my boss(male) this spring and we were pretty evenly matched. He beat me but I didn't let him! He would have been fine if the results were reversed.
I would beat my boss in a race--if he ever raced. I'd be okay with it.
Hahaha! I would never let my boss beat me! Jobs will come and go, but my diginity is important! LOL!

Our nurse manager is pretty useless, so I'd make it a mission to beat her handily in any race.
Our surgeon's pretty cocky about his running, so I'd totally try to kick his ass too ;)

A very big yes, I would beat him into the finish, actually my current boss I would beat even if I ran backwards.
I'm not at work so all is fair in the land of racing. If I could beat him/her, I would.
I think that is a funny question. I don't have a boss so I'd have to dream too.
Well my manager and I aren't equally matched and she knows I'm faster than her... but if we were equally matched I would probably try to win ;)
