Hummingbirds, Cats and Buffalo

Since I ran yesterday today was a long bike ride. The 20 miles on the canal went well and it isn't too hot while riding a bike. I am always amazed at the wildlife and animals I see along the canal. As usual there are a lot of ducks but today I saw so many hummingbirds that I often wondered if it was the same one just flying up in front of me. I probably saw almost 20 hummingbirds (well some could be the same ones since it is an out and back course.) and I saw a really, tiny hummingbird too. It was so tiny I at first thought it was a dragonfly.

The cats were also out in number today. There were two wild black and white cats that darted back into the bushes and a house that had 5 cats lounging around on the road and on top of cars. They certainly looked well fed and happy.

When I do 20 miles I always love the 10 mile turn around and will stop and gaze at the buffalo in the pen. Its hard to believe there are buffalo out here in Arizona, right off a main road but there are. There are 2 or 3 small buffalo in a pen that are oblivious to the traffic that's right there. There were pallets of block lining the fence where the buffalo stay so I guess the owners will be putting up a block wall soon. I should take my camera so I can get pictures before the wall goes up.

I love hummingbirds!! You're so lucky you had such a treat today.

By the way, I've seen that PBLoco online and in Atlanta and wish they sold it around here. Some of the flavors sound absolutely amazing.

The cookie dough PB is really good. You can buy the PB online but shipping is expensive.
